Gina K Designs and Therm o Web Foil Mates in Action
I bought a bundle of products from Amazon that had all I needed to create glitzy, easy Christmas cards over the Thanksgiving weekend.
Gina K Designs and Therm-o-Web teamed up to create Stamp-n-Foil Foil Mates – Clear Stamps, Craft Dies, Fancy Foils and toner-printed images that all work together. The toner-printed images called Foil Mates will fuse to foil when run through a hot laminator.
The Stamps and Dies are perfectly designed to stamp and cut the details from the design sheets. Once run through a laminator, stamped and die cut, you have a sparkly, shiny element to put on your cards.
Of course, the stamps and craft dies can be used without the toner-printed detail sheets. The images are beautiful and stamp very well. The Foil Mates just add a wow-factor to handmade cards when used with foil and a laminator.

I am a long-time Prime member and order a lot of stuff from Amazon all the time. You do have to watch the prices on some things, but this bundle is actually priced at a dollar or two below retail.
Here are the cards and tags I came up with using the Holly Jolly Foil Mates along with Memento die ink and the stamps and craft dies that are all a part of the Holly Jolly product bundle. I purchased the red and green fancy foils separately, also from Amazon.
I was able to stamp inside the toner-printed outline very easily. I do recommend practicing and also using a stamp positioning tool to get the stamp lined up perfectly.
This card shows how the foiled detail sheet looks without stamping. Very pretty too!
In addition to using a laminator, you can also use double stick tape to adhere foil to your cards. I used a narrow 1/8″ red liner tape it on this card for the lines around the sentiment.
Therm-o-web also sells an icraft Deco Foil adhesive pen. I used this to make dots in the center of the flower above and adhered foil without heat.
The foil will adhere to double sided tape, which you can die cut into any shape as see in this card. Use your fingers to burnish the foil onto larger areas. A bone folder may scratch the foil.
The video is up at YouTube if you want to see these products in action.
