Today’s card is for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. The theme is Make a Rainbow. Although the featured products are by Tim Holtz, the only products I used were Wilted Violet and Pumice Stone Distress ink. I really wanted to make a card with the very cute stamp set and inks included in the April Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. The stamp set is called Wild Cuddly Critters.
Rainbow was created by swiping cardstock with Simon Says Stamp hybrid inks in Watermelon, Orange Slush, Lemon Zest and Key Lime. Audrey Blue and Distress Wilted Violet were added to round out the colors.
The cuddly elephant was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with “C” series Copic Sketch markers. The sentiment from the stamp set was heat embossed with white on black cardstock and colored in with a white gel pen. The stencil I used on the background came with a stamp set I got at Michael’s, I think. There are no markings on it.
